Our Guide to Strip Lash Application

Our Guide to Strip Lash Application

One of the easiest ways to turn up the volume on any look is with a set of strip lashes. Stunning with a red lip/winged liner duo, they complete a bronzed, glowy look and really enhance a smokey eye.

And if you love the idea of wearing strip lashes, but are nervous to try, you're not alone! Don't be shy - a little practice really does make perfect, and we have some helpful tips you can use too.

🖤 Apply mascara to your natural lashes first and skip the eyelash curler. Too much curl can mean the false lashes don't sit flush with your natural lashes.

🖤 Measure the strip lash against your own lashline. Trim the end of the band to fit.

🖤Always trim from the outer edge of the strip lash. This is the most voluminous end and keeps the natural looking gradient of the inner corner in tact.

🖤 Bend the band back and forth to make it more flexible. This will help to avoid the edges flicking up as you wear.

🖤 Apply a small amount of glue to the band and let it set for a few moments - around 20-30 seconds.

🖤 Using tweezers, place the strip in the centre of your upper lash line and gently press as close to your natural lashes as you can. Work the edges into place. Using your tweezers, press the strip lashes and your natural lashes together, to avoid a gap.

🖤 Once you've applied your lashes, line the top lash line with a black liquid or gel liner for a smooth and seamless finish and to disguise any glue residue.

🖤 A final coat of mascara on your natural lashes will help to fan the natural and false lashes together.

🖤 Start with a subtle set, and work your way up to more volume if you'd like. Our Little Lifts are a perfect place to start and grow your confidence in application. They're small sections of lash and are designed to be placed on the outer corner of the eye.

So what are you waiting for? Grab some lashes and have a go! Our Love Lashes are durable and reusable, so if you don't get it quite right the first time, just peel off any excess glue from the lash band and try again.
